Discussion:
[IPCop-user] How do I configure DHCP on ORANGE

My IPCOP machine has two network ports, one GREEN and
one ORANGE. I've used GREEN to confirm connectivity,
and now want to configure DHCP for the ORANGE sub-net
as well.
... but admin only offers me GREEN and BLUE.

Am I doing something wrong?

I would be grateful for guidance on this.

No. You can't configure DHCP on orange. IPCop isn't designed to allow that.

(Unless you want to manually edit a whole bunch of files, which is not
recommended.)

This isn't possible in the default IPCop setup. I don't know why you
want to use DHCP for servers in DMZ (maybe best I don't ask why).

If you really want to have DHCP on orange and don't want to run it on a
box in the DMZ, consider switching to a Red Blue Green config instead of
Red Orange Green as you have how.

Cheers

Thank you. I will take your hint and use BLUE. I had
not appreciated that ORANGE was for DMZ. The
documentation suggests that BLUE is for wireless, of
which I have none, so I ignored that.
